E-Sports events have become a global phenomenon, attracting millions of viewers and generating substantial revenues. From the earliest 70’ to these days, E-Sports have been constantly growing thanks to the many streaming platforms and initiatives throughout the world that produced a significant quantity of gamers motivated in leaving a permanent mark in games’ histories. However, the rapid growth of this sector has brought challenges, particularly the widespread issue of cheating, which threatens the fairness and integrity of competitions. To address these challenges, we introduce an innovative mobile applications, the Kiosk-App, designed to enhance security and optimize event management. The application enforces strict authentication protocols and locks gaming devices into a controlled environment, minimizing opportunities for manipulation. Its implementation in the UPSIDE project demonstrated the effectiveness of these measures in reducing risks and maintaining the integrity of the event. This study highlights the potential of solutions such as the Kiosk-App, to establish some sort of standardized protocols and ensure a transparent competitive environment for the future of E-Sports.

Abstract
This study highlights the potential of solutions such as the Kiosk-App, to establish some sort of standardized protocols and ensure a transparent competitive environment for the future of E-Sports.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
