This paper describes the preliminary results related to the ERS-1 AMI unage mode data analysis carried out in the framework of the Experiment I-7. The SAR data have been acquired during the October 23rd 1991 night pass over the Salerno Peninsula and the June 21st and July 7th 1992 day passes over the Matera area in Southern Italy. In this experimental phase, the main objectives are the SAR Image Quailtv Evaluation and Calibration. To accomplish tins, two Active Radar Calibrators and several trihedral comer retflctors nave been deployed on both sites. The Data Sets are extracted from SLC products provided bv the SAR VMP installed at the Earthnet Programme Office. Frascati, Italy, and from PRI products processed at the I-PAF. Matera. Italy, In addition, a preliminary comparison with the SAR omega-k Processor, available within our group, is presented.
