Abstract: Cataloging cultural heritage is a vital endeavour that underpins the preservation and understanding of humanity’s diverse history and traditions. This systematic process involves the detailed documentation and organization of artefacts, historical sites, and intangible cultural expressions, ensuring their survival and accessibility for future generations. By creating comprehensive records, cataloging facilitates scholarly research, enhancing our knowledge of past civilizations and informing contemporary cultural practices. It also plays a critical role in education, providing rich resources for learning and fostering a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity. Detailed records enable effective restoration and conservation efforts, ensuring that cultural heritage remains intact. Furthermore, cataloging helps to sustain cultural identity and continuity by allowing communities to maintain and celebrate their historical and cultural narratives. It also supports legal and ethical claims, including repatriation efforts for artifacts taken or displaced. In this paper, we will study the cataloging principles and the management of information, and how to implement them in case studies. A case study of the traditional Albanian Tower House will be used to demonstrate the implementation of the database.
