This paper introduces the Wigner Migration Technique, a method for imaging in Phase Space - a domain that combines spatial coordinates and spatial frequencies, where field propagation is modeled as the evolution of plane waves. The technique leverages the Wigner Distribution as a direct representation of the field in this joint domain. The mathematical formulation of the Wigner Migration Technique is outlined, and a preliminary study has been conducted to evaluate its performance. Numerical simulations on a two-dimensional target scene with point objects demonstrate its capability to reconstruct the scenario.

Abstract
This paper introduces the Wigner Migration Technique, a method for imaging in Phase Space - a domain that combines spatial coordinates and spatial frequencies, where field propagation is modeled as the evolution of plane waves. The technique leverages the Wigner Distribution as a direct representation of the field in this joint domain. The mathematical formulation of the Wigner Migration Technique is outlined, and a preliminary study has been conducted to evaluate its performance. Numerical simulations on a two-dimensional target scene with point objects demonstrate its capability to reconstruct the scenario.File in questo prodotto:
