In an era where historic cities face the pressures of modernisation, urban interventions aimed at preserving cultural identity are becoming increasingly important. This study examines the revitalisation of the New Bazaar in Tirana, analysing how this project successfully balances the preservation of historical and cultural identity with the needs of a rapidly transforming city. Historically known as a significant commercial and social hub, the New Bazaar has been transformed into a successful example of urban renewal, where traditional architectural elements are seamlessly integrated with contemporary urban functions. The methodology involves an analysis of the conservation and urban development policies implemented during the restoration process, examining the historical and cultural context of the area, architectural features, and the integration of authentic elements into the renewed urban structure. Additionally, the study assesses the environmental, social, and economic impacts of the project on the surrounding community. Findings indicate that the intervention has stimulated new investments, attracted businesses, and increased property values in the area. Additionally, it has revitalised public li fe by creating a dynamic and vibrant space for both residents and visitors. Nevertheless, challenges remain even after the project's completion; these include maintaining the area's authentic character in the face of increasing commercialisation and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the revitalised public spaces. In conclusion, the study provides recommendations for similar urban revitalisation projects, emphasising the importance of an approach that preserves historical identity while promoting inclusive and sustainable development.

Abstract
In conclusion, the study provides recommendations for similar urban revitalisation projects, emphasising the importance of an approach that preserves historical identity while promoting inclusive and sustainable development.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
