Most of the diseases appear to be generated by a number of concurring factors. This is likely to be the case of one of the medical issues having a larger impact today, i.e., the Alzheimer’s disease (AD). This paper proposes a combination of potential effects to have a role in making synapses ineffective, i.e., the onset of AD. The general framework is represented by information theory, dealing with the functional organization of the animal and human brain as a highly complex data flow manager. Neurophysiology provides a focus on the chemical reasons for the limited effectiveness in synapses, and a quantum tunnelling effect is suggested here as an explanation. Entropyrelated considerations can help in understanding the decreasing capabilities of the brain at the disease onset. Then the C. elegans (Caenorhabditis Elegans), a free-living transparent nematode about 1-mm long, and the far simpler, but modelled, information routing in satellite constellation are introduced to represent information transmission – or lack of transmission.
