Abstract
In this work, the performances of a plasmonic spoon-shaped sensor have been investigated via a low-cost experimental setup. The proposed amplitude mode-based sensor configuration enables the maintenance of the same sensor performances as obtained via spectral mode configurations while significantly reducing the overall cost of the system. Additionally, the proposed experimental setup enhances the portability of the device, making it more suitable for practical applications in several fields. By employing readily available and inexpensive electronic components, this approach provides a balance between optical performance and economic feasibility combined with small size, paving the way for wider accessibility and ease of use in real-world scenarios, such as for Point-of-Care Tests (POCTs). Moreover, the proposed plasmonic sensor chip can be used without microfluidic systems.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
