Urban voids, understood as undeveloped or disused spaces within densely urbanized contexts, represent a fundamental resource for sustainable urban regeneration. This study focuses on the identification, mapping, and analysis of the voids along the infrastructural stretch of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, with the aim of understanding their potential in promoting optimal reuse practices. In a context of high building density, the enhancement of these spaces through targeted interventions represents a key strategy to reduce environmental impact and foster the transition towards a more resilient city. The proposed work is part of a transformation process that seeks to integrate urban growth with the preservation of cultural and social heritage, promoting a balance between urbanization and nature.

Abstract
Urban voids, understood as undeveloped or disused spaces within densely urbanized contexts, represent a fundamental resource for sustainable urban regeneration. This study focuses on the identification, mapping, and analysis of the voids along the infrastructural stretch of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, with the aim of understanding their potential in promoting optimal reuse practices. In a context of high building density, the enhancement of these spaces through targeted interventions represents a key strategy to reduce environmental impact and foster the transition towards a more resilient city. The proposed work is part of a transformation process that seeks to integrate urban growth with the preservation of cultural and social heritage, promoting a balance between urbanization and nature.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
