The Ad'agio project aims to create accessible and inclusive environments for elderly people with visual impairment. The collaboration between the David Chiossone Institute and the University of Genoa led to the creation of a model of a standard home, assessing the elements that are potentially hazardous to people who are visually impaired or blind. The project also included the development of a check-list to support occupational therapists in assessing home environments and proposing solutions to make homes safer and more suitable for the needs of people with visual impairments. The ultimate goal is to provide support, autonomy and independence to older people with visual impairments living alone.

Abstract
The Ad'agio project aims to create accessible and inclusive environments for elderly people with visual impairment. The collaboration between the David Chiossone Institute and the University of Genoa led to the creation of a model of a standard home, assessing the elements that are potentially hazardous to people who are visually impaired or blind. The project also included the development of a check-list to support occupational therapists in assessing home environments and proposing solutions to make homes safer and more suitable for the needs of people with visual impairments. The ultimate goal is to provide support, autonomy and independence to older people with visual impairments living alone.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
