The paper focused on the study of ceramics found during the excavation of the complex of Sant’Ilario in Port’Aurea, in the historic center of Benevento (Southern Italy, Campania region) near the roman triumphal Arch of Trajan; the church was built between VII and VIII century. The archaeological excavation in the area date back to 2001-2002. Recently, the team of medieval archaeologists of the DILBEC-University of Campania studied the documentation of excavation and the medieval finds, until now unpublished.
