General introduction to frame the context of the proposed policy/project/research: The long abstract will summarize the methodology and the first results of the research project titled "A methodology for the regeneration of collective spaces in modern neighbourhoods" and founded by Italian Ministry of University and Research. The proposal will contribute to the project of a “city of proximity”, by creating the conditions to match the significant supply of collective spaces in modern neighbourhoods with the new demand for proximal spaces and services. Specifically, the research project is testing a multidisciplinary and participative intervention methodology, involving architectural and urban design researchers, city planners, historians. Objectives of the proposed policy/project/research: The research aims to experiment with a research methodology for the regeneration of collective spaces in modern neighbourhoods as a crucial resource to face the challenges of living set by the pandemic outbreak. So the research aims to create the conditions to match the demand for proximal spaces and services. Fundamental, in this sense, are the case studies, chosen from some particularly problematic neighbourhoods of Rome, Naples and Turin, cities where the 3 research groups of this research project are located. The proposed methodology articulates the technique of the so-called Living Labs in innovative terms, applying it to the transformation processes of urban contexts. Results of the proposed policy/project/research: The first results concern the analysis of urban and metropolitan fabrics with the identification of the most important residential building districts, in particular public housing. For Naples, the specific case of this contribution, the post-earthquake period (1980s-1990s) was explored in depth, with particular reference to the metropolitan area and a focus on the neighbourhood called "Parco Verde" in Caivano, particularly critical by a social point of view.

Abstract
For Naples, the specific case of this contribution, the post-earthquake period (1980s-1990s) was explored in depth, with particular reference to the metropolitan area and a focus on the neighbourhood called "Parco Verde" in Caivano, particularly critical by a social point of view.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
