The cemetery site of S. Maria del Pianto configures an extremely interesting multi-layered cultural landscape, with evidence since ancient times, of significant landscape value, too. Through the study of a wide, largely unpublished, documentary apparatus, compared to the survey of the as-found condition of the site, the work presents historiographically marked restitution of the qualities and the evolution of this complex over time.
