Nowadays the local authorities are on the way to discover the Roman amphitheaters trying to give them a resurrection of this kind of buildings through the revival of live shows. During summer seasons the cultural heritage are often used for musical concerts, but many others are left without any functionality for modern use. This paper deals with the acoustic survey undertaken to understand the frequency response of the amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. In addition, a concept design of a temporary stage has herein proposed to be located at the center of the arena. Acoustic simulations have been undertaken for the validity of the proposed acoustic shell.
