The staircase design represent one of the most significant chapters in the history of architecture and, in a disciplinary sense, of representation both for cultural and scientific meanings (for example, for the choice of the visualization methods which the representation is full), and for the fundamental value of the image and culture of the shape (from the symbolism of form to its geometric construction in the sheet and in space), both for the pragmatic character and the operative dynamics (think of the implementation, the shipbuilding, the cutting of the stones, to the masonry equipment, to the materials). In this sense, due to the complexity of the theme, it can be said that the staircases design underlies an ethics design that skillfully combines the space of design and the design of space and, in a broader sense, the culture of design and the culture of drawing. This research has therefore been structured around this disciplinary assumption from the nodal value, i.e. to the validity of the design as a critical through which the complex processes of conception, elaboration and communication of the real are carried out. With respect to these positions of thought and method, the more general theme of study has been tackled the staircase as a representative space of architecture, with respect to which the research questions have been directed towards different directions such as: existence of common geometric-configurative matrices in the planimetric overgrown of the multiple models of staircases examined; identification of the most widely vaulted systems in the staircase spatial articulation; congruity of digital modeling as an infographic potential to better visualize the difficult complex spaces of mental imagination both in specialized fields and in the wider public.

Abstract
With respect to these positions of thought and method, the more general theme of study has been tackled the staircase as a representative space of architecture, with respect to which the research questions have been directed towards different directions such as: existence of common geometric-configurative matrices in the planimetric overgrown of the multiple models of staircases examined; identification of the most widely vaulted systems in the staircase spatial articulation; congruity of digital modeling as an infographic potential to better visualize the difficult complex spaces of mental imagination both in specialized fields and in the wider public.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
