The paper describes the requirements analysis, the initial design and implementation of the GreenCharge European project simulation and visualization tools. The purpose of this tool is to enable investigation of the possible impacts of the GreenCharge concepts beyond what is possible with the pilot practical trials realized in the project. To achieve this, we need to simulate scenarios involving larger and more diverse energy smart neighborhoods, based partly on data collected by the pilots and partly on data collected in other contexts.

Abstract

The paper describes the requirements analysis, the initial design and implementation of the GreenCharge European project simulation and visualization tools. The purpose of this tool is to enable investigation of the possible impacts of the GreenCharge concepts beyond what is possible with the pilot practical trials realized in the project. To achieve this, we need to simulate scenarios involving larger and more diverse energy smart neighborhoods, based partly on data collected by the pilots and partly on data collected in other contexts.
