The paper presents an interdisciplinary research project (under evaluation) focused on the creation of a workwear system (S2PWD) that integrates smart and wearable equipment to raise the safety and protection level of workers in their workplaces. Workwear systems (WwS) provide an ‘active security’ through the use of sub-systems of control and diagnostics for prevention and risk assessment.
