Due to advances in the fields of low power electronics, computer science and communications, the diffusion of sensors based on the Internet of Things is more and more increasing. In particular, contactless sensing principles represent enabling technologies for the IoT. This paper presents a new contactless power line voltage sensor (from 0 V to 300 V) with low power consumption in order to be suitable for IoT applications. It has been characterized with a high performance electrical calibrator showing good accuracy (lower than 1 %) at 230 V.
