This volume contains the full papers of most of the contributions presented at IN-VENTO 2018, the XV Conference of the Italian Association for Wind Engineering (ANIV), held at Castel dell’Ovo in Napoli, Italy, on September 9–12, 2018. The conference had 12 plenary sessions, aiming to provide a major forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion on the latest advances in the field of wind engineering, bluff-body aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, structural dynamics and reliability, wind modelling and forecast, wind tunnel and full-scale testing, computational fluid dynamics, wind energy. In particular, two of the session were devoted to the recent developments of wind energy exploitation in onshore and offshore environment. Invited lectures to the conference were Prof. Theodore Stathopoulos of the Concordia University, Dr. Andrew Allsop of ARUP UK, and Prof. Giovanni Solari of University of Genoa. The previous fourteen editions of the IN-VENTO Conference series were held biennially since 1990 in Firenze, Capri, Roma, Trieste, Perugia, Genova, Milano, Reggio Calabria, Pescara, Cefalù, Spoleto, Venezia, Genova, and Terni; in its last four editions, the conference has become international, receiving attention from a large number of researchers worldwide. IN-VENTO 2018 had an attendance of about 100 researchers, 40% of which coming from outside Italy. Out of the 76 papers presented in the conference, 55 were selected by the editors for publication in the proceedings book after a blind double peer-review process. The editors thank all participants for their contributions to the conference programme and to this proceedings. We also acknowledge the support received by the Italian Association for Wind Engineering, by the Conference Scientific Committee and by the Local Organizing Committee.
