Abstract
In this work, a simple and low cost experimental setup (based on Arduino) for an optical sensor platform based on Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) in a Plastic Optical Fiber (POF), is presented. Surface Plasmon Resonance in plastic optical fibers is a very low cost and sensitive technique for determining refractive index variations at the interface between a metallic layer and a dielectric medium. SPR is widely used as a detection principle for many sensors operating in different application fields, such as bio and chemical sensing.File in questo prodotto:
