There are several elements of strong originality in this project, which we proposed to the Politecnico di Milano and which involved the students of the Industrial Design Department. The first element is the product that we wanted to highlight in our proposal, lining made with continuous cellulosic filament fibers. A product that is not only vital in the construction of coats and jackets, but which also provides consistency, sustains wearability, and ensures comfort thanks to its extraordinary capacity to absorb moisture. It is an essential contributor to the esteem awarded to the label Made in Italy, of which our country is so proud of since it denotes something which is beautiful and well-made. In recent years linings have also proudly emerged from their habitual hidden place inside the garment, to become an overwhelmingly and hugely important element of the garment itself; an instrument of diversification and personalisation with remarkable potential.
