By adopting an investigation method that opens to multidisciplinary work with the creation of interoperable objects, this contribution discusses the survey of the Solimene ceramic factory, a superintendence bounded good, today, to the hearth of the debates on the restoration of the modern. This unprecedented critical analysis, shedding light on the unique “protruding volumes” mathematical configuration, is underlying the information system consisting of iconic – before than alphanumeric – models, collectors of the required structural and specific interdisciplinary studies.
