Abstract

The Project "Cultivare in Faculty" it translates the pressing necessity of "to cultivate culture": the garden as opportunity for taking back of our own earth conferring her or better returning her landscape/environmental value, economic/social, didactic/formative, perceptive/sensory or the deeply ethical and aesthetical value that it belongs her. The monumental Complex of St. Lawrence ad Septimun in Aversa- center of the Faculty of Architecture SUN - it circumscribes with his boundaries around 7000 meter squared of external surface that carelessness of the time and the different priorities in the restauration of the complex have corroded and compromise. As big part of the urban voids, also the external area of the abbey has entertained sky dumps opened in the spaces subtracted to the collective benefit, wasted by the carelessness and by the abandonment. In 20 weeks we have realized our dream: the dream to translate our genetic patrimony in a local ethical action; the dream to regenerate the fabric connective nature/culture; the dream to participate a collective project and to work together teachers, students, agricultural laborers, farmers which silently are working in another garden "intra moenia" inside the boundarie from a lot of generations; the dream to plant our vegetables tracking cultivar and local vegetables down; the dream to recover the ancient well without wasting a drop of water; the dream to slowly replace everything and immediately of the global universe with the necessary and at the same time of the local land; the dream to offer our first crop to the poor's refectory of the Sanctuary of Saint Lucy to Sea; the dream to understand that out of the virtual experimentation of the tastes, of the odors, of the perfumes it exists the real perception of the places that "we listen" with our senses; the dream not to waste collective spaces and to use the products of the vegetables garden in the University cafeteria as short draws “filiera corta” or "0 miles". The dream to allow the nature a solo along long trip: that in the culture. This contribution represents a synchronic cut of all the expertise involved in the process of regeneration, not only formal at the Abbey of above and below the ground line: from Pedo-architecture to Land Design_Sabina Martusciello; Morphological Design_Maria Dolores Morelli; Pedology_Andrea Buondonno; Agronomic history _Gaetano Di Pasquale, Boris Basile; Agronomy_Alberto Cappelletti; Math-culture_Cristina Miglionico; Eco-gastronomy_Eugenia Aloj; Control and quality agro-food and water_Luca Rastrelli.
