Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a major problem for developed countries. In this study we present the results of a meta-analysis comparing the effectiveness of the Home Monitoring (HM) versus the usual care. The home monitoring seems to be more effective than the UC in reducing readmission, mortality and hospital staying, for all-causes and HF-related. Nonetheless, this result is not supported by statistical significance. The relations between HM features and some relevant study design features seems to suggest that more complex HM models are more effective and that the HM could be more beneficial for more severe patients. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
