Abstract

"The work proposed in the present volume starts from the consideration that, before the huge entity of building heritage to be fitted to standards of efficiency and eco-friendly behaviour, the increasing disciplinary sectoralisation of architecture – Restoration, Composition, Technology, Technical Physics … – must be necessarily reviewed for closer and closer useful interactions. The perspective, we can move on, cannot be the one of a “multidisciplinarity” simply following the logic of “more than one”, according to which each sector faces the same problem from its point of view: the real step to be made turns towards the rule of an “interdisciplinarity”, according to the logic of “combining” that favours the integration of competences and allows to face the problem from different perspective with shared practices and methodologies. . This challenge is the base on which this research has been funded, so the volume, representing the results, is divided into three sections of study with a linear progression of close examinations, going from the scale of the small village to the individuation of punctual realities (building aggregations), up to smaller components of architecture represented by floors, so that the various scales can be highlighted organically with a shared planning approach involving the urban tissue, the building body and the architectural component, considering their mutual interactions. .
