Abstract

"In this manuscript, we introduce a new approach to the airborne surveyfor in-depth survey of Territory and Heritage, through the simultaneous action of aerophotogrammetric sensors, LIDAR scanners, thermal and multispectral cameras. The particular configuration of sensors that we designed, multiplies the data combinations providing information with absolute precision on land pollution, landfills, rivers and coastlines deterioration. The critical analysis of the acquired data is possible through the adoption of an innovative methodology, which we here propose. This methodology is based on the ability to integrate advanced technologies, academic skills and laboratory networks. . The case study of Pompeii, specifically selected, is an area with both ancient and modern heritage."
