This paper aims at giving a contribution to the discussion of one of most famous paradoxes of philosophy of science, the so-called Raven Paradox. It presents two remarks on the standard Bayesian solution to this paradox: (1) this solution is not affected by an alleged lacuna described and discussed in a celebrated paper [4]; (2) in spite of the above remark, the Bayesian solution is truly unsatisfactory and needs to be completed.

Abstract

This paper aims at giving a contribution to the discussion of one of most famous paradoxes of philosophy of science, the so-called Raven Paradox. It presents two remarks on the standard Bayesian solution to this paradox: (1) this solution is not affected by an alleged lacuna described and discussed in a celebrated paper [4]; (2) in spite of the above remark, the Bayesian solution is truly unsatisfactory and needs to be completed.
