I quartieri residenziali: fondazioni di città nella città e utopie urbane

The title of the paper states that the residential neighbourhoods (built during forty years in Italy) are by the same standards of the foundation of towns. The dissertation goes through the foundation cities and utopian theories history and stresses highlight the “new towns” invariants. If we look as the urban planners we can say that the cities planned in the last two centuries and the residential neighbourhoods built after the last world war are very similar: they were built where there weren’t human settlements, they have the same underlying theory, they the have the same plane, the same dimension, the same thickness, etc. This paper introduces Claudia de Biase’s contribution, which is titled “Residential neighbourhoods: foundation and utopian city’s”. de Biase’s contribution is the ideal completion of this one, because it offers more elements, which supports the answered hypothesis.
