I discuss a cooperative facilitation approach to glassy dynamics which is particularly suitable for addressing the basic nature of the glass transition problem both at mean-field level and in finite spatial dimensions. The approach turns out to be consistent with the mode-coupling theory and provides a geometric interpretation of dynamic arrest mechanism and higher-order glass singularity in terms of a generalised bootstrap percolation process.
