A simplified procedure to be used for the Performance-Based Design of reinforced concrete buildings was proposed. The procedure is based on the static push-over analysis, the capacity spectrum method, the inelastic demand response spectra and the estimation of structural damage index. The approximate procedure was first described in detail and then applied to a r.c. building under different earthquake ground motions.
