The aim of this study is characterize the groundwater resource of Campanian Plain north-eastern sector (150 Km 2) into Caserta province. The data were collected during three period: at the end of the recharge period (April 2007), at the end of the summer of the same year (connected with the annual lowest values) and at the end of the hydrologic cycle (April 2008). The groundwater circulation scheme shows a paraboloid waterbearing surface with a NE to SW flow during the whole hydrological year. Comparing the values collected in April and September 2007, the piezometric fluctuation was determined. The April 2007-2008 data show a decrease of the piezometric level, although precipitations were increased of 27% ca. in 2007-2008 winter; therefore the water requirements is higher than water natural recharge. In the end, we define same chemical and physical parameters of the water samples: temperature, pH, conductivity and ionic concentration for NO 3-, SO 42-, K +, F -, Cl -, Br, Mg 2+, NH 4+, Ca 2+, Na +. Abstract

Moreover, we define the intrinsic vulnerability groundwater resource using SINTACS method, inserting various data in GIS project. Generally, the intrinsic vulnerability degree was medium, only in SE sector was high. (April 2007), at the end of the summer of the same year (connected with the annual lowest values) and at the end of the hydrologic cycle (April 2008). In the end, we define same chemical and physical parameters of the water samples: temperature, pH, conductivity and ionic concentration for NO 3-, SO 42-, K +, F -, Cl -, Br, Mg 2+, NH 4+, Ca 2+, Na +. The data show that the NO 3- and SP 42- concentrations increased from N to S.
